Gemini Spark is a 24/7 personal agent from Google, announced at Google I/O in May 2026. It operates from Google's cloud using the context of your Google account. It comes with Google AI Pro at $19.99/month in the United States and with Google AI Ultra at $99.99/month or $199.99/month in other supported countries.

## How it works

Spark works directly with your Google account, so Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Photos and Chrome need no third-party connectors. You decide which of those apps it may use, then give it jobs in the Gemini app.

Tasks run on a schedule, such as a weekly summary of unanswered email, or fire when something happens, like a new message from a client or a calendar change. Up to 15 can run at once, and jobs you repeat turn into reusable skills over time.

The rollout has been staged. Spark reached Google AI Ultra subscribers first in May, arrived on macOS in June, expanded to more Ultra countries in early July and came to Google AI Pro in the US on July 23. Separately, Google is putting Gemini into Search and Workspace, and companies that want custom agents can use Gemini Enterprise.

## Privacy

Spark runs in Google's cloud on the data already in your Google account, so its reach is as wide as the apps you allow. Google asks users to supervise it closely and interrupt when needed, sensitive actions require confirmation, and business accounts fall under Workspace admin controls. Grant apps one at a time and delete scheduled tasks you no longer need.

## Verdict

If your life runs on Google and you are in the US, Spark on Google AI Pro is the cheapest serious agent available. Everyone else should check their country first and decide whether Ultra pricing is worth it.
