OpenAI introduced a ChatGPT Pro tier at $500/month. Its defining feature is Ultrafast, a mode that runs GPT-6 Astra at as many as 300 tokens per second. OpenAI claims a speedup of as much as eight times in Codex and ChatGPT Work.
Developers can also use Ultrafast through the API, at six times the standard price. Engadget reported that the usage allowance on the $200/month Pro plan was cut at the same time.
Every Pro tier, starting at $100/month, includes Dots. The $500 plan is aimed at people whose agent work is heavy and time-sensitive throughout the day.
